TEHRAN – The Expediency Council on Saturday confirmed a bill by Iran to officially join the TAC, the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, Mehr reported.

The bill had already been passed by the parliament but not ratified by the oversight Guardian Council.

Since the disputes between the Parliament and the Guardian Council failed to produce a result the bill was referred to the Expediency Council for arbitration.
